Remembrance
We Walk Because They Walked.
Before a single step is taken, we stand at Bomana. Rows of young men who never came home. This walk begins with remembrance, and it never stops being about them.
1942 · The Track
Ground That Already Knows What Men Are Made Of
In 1942, young Australians held this line with almost nothing but each other. Mud to the knees, rain that never stopped, ridge after ridge, and mates carried out on stretchers by Papua New Guinean hands.
They didn't hold that line because they were fearless. They held it because they refused to leave the man beside them.
The track still asks the same question it asked them: what are you made of when everything is stripped away?
96 Kilometres. Every Metre Earned.
Eight Years. More Than 10,000 Men.
For eight years Amend Movement has walked beside men, through the bush, through hard conversations, through the things they'd never said out loud. More than 10,000 men have done this work with us.
Kokoda isn't a departure from that. It's the same work, taken further.
Resilience, brotherhood, and the kind of emotional leadership a man carries home to his family and his mates. That's what we're walking for.
Twenty Men. Nine Days. One Track.
Not the fittest men in the room. Men who are ready to be tested, ready to be honest, and ready to show up for the nineteen walking beside them.
The Walk Starts Long Before PNG.
From the day you're accepted, you're training. Loaded packs, hills, long days on your feet, and guidance on gear so nothing on the track is a surprise. You won't do it alone — the twenty train as a group, and the work you do at home is what carries you over the ridges.
There Will Be A Moment You Want To Stop.
Steep climbs, river crossings, rain, no signal, no distractions. That moment is the point. What happens next, and who reaches back for you, is what you'll carry home.
The Amend Difference
The Real Work Happens Inside You.
Plenty of trek companies can get you up this mountain. The guide, the doctor, the porters, the itinerary, that part looks the same no matter who you walk with.
What's different here is everything Amend builds into the days between the ridges. Structured reflection, real conversation, and the same inner work we've spent eight years doing with over 10,000 men, aimed at building you from the inside out, not just testing what's on the outside.
You don't come home from this just fitter. You come home a stronger father, a better partner, and a better man for the people around you.

The Fitness Standard.
This track does not care how much you paid. You need to arrive trek-fit. If you're not there yet, that's not a dealbreaker, but it means committing to a full year of structured training starting the day you're accepted. What we won't accept is showing up undercooked and expecting the other nineteen to carry you. No stragglers.
Staying Connected Before You Fly.
Three months out from the walk, we start fortnightly Zoom calls, Tuesday evenings, 6pm AEST, for 60 minutes. This isn't a logistics briefing. It's where we tell our stories, so that by the time we're standing at Bomana together, we already know each other.
We're also asking every man to film and send in a 30 to 60 second video of himself once a month, right up until the walk. We'll send clear direction each time on what we're after and where to send it. These videos build the public lead-up to the trek across social media, so more men can feel this coming before it even starts.
This Walk Asks For All Of You.
We're not here to talk anyone into this. It's not a walk you ease into. It's one you commit to, fully, the same way you'll need to commit to the man beside you on Day 6 when everything in you wants to stop.
You're either in, or you're out. That's the standard, and it starts the moment you apply.
The Larger Impact
This Was Never Just About Twenty Men.
The entire journey is being filmed as a 10-part documentary series. Every training session. Every hard conversation. Every ridge. Released publicly on YouTube and across social media.
This isn't content. It's twenty men doing something most men never let themselves do, in front of everyone who needs to see it.
Men who can't make this walk will still feel every step of it, from home. Not twenty men on a track. Thousands of men in it with them.
Who We're Looking For
Is It You?
You don't need to be an athlete. You need to be willing to train, willing to be honest, and willing to carry your share for the men beside you.
If you've read this far and something in you has already decided, that's your answer.

Find A Way Out Of No Way.
Some of what we're asking of you here is big. The fitness standard. The Tuesday night calls. The monthly videos. The full payment in fourteen days. None of it is an accident.
If you can't find a way to get all of that into alignment now, from the comfort of wherever you're reading this, the ninety-six kilometres of Kokoda is going to be a very different kind of hard. We've built these asks in deliberately, because we need to know who's actually here for it before we're standing on that track together.
So tell us: what value would you specifically bring to this group of twenty men, and to the documentary carrying this message further?
